“Who’s Next? A Gallery of Polish Nobel Laureates” – an exhibition at the Ministry of National Education
BOOM! What a project, what an evening!
I can now officially say that seven portraits of Polish Nobel Prize laureates, painted by me, are gazing through beautiful brass frames at everyone passing through the third floor of the Ministry of National Education (yes, that beautiful monumental building on Szucha Avenue). And what makes this an even greater honor for me is that they are meant to stay there — settling in and waiting for the next great minds. For now, a mirror hangs as the eighth piece, asking: “Who’s next?” I’ll be writing more about the paintings themselves, but as for the opening night… it was straight out of a dream! The vernissage was officially opened by Minister Barbara Nowacka, Director Robert Bartold, and spokesperson Piotr Otrębski. And there was also a performance by my beloved Alek (Pan Ba), who, among other things, wrote a song especially for the occasion, with lyrics by Piotr Otrębski — a tribute to Warsaw. Wonderful guests, an amazing vibe, lovely wine, beautiful catalogues, and me — all dressed in pink. Truly unforgettable — and I mean the event, not me! Every project is a process — it’s about people, atmosphere, and energy. In this case: synergy and the most enjoyable collaboration in the world. Ola, Piotrek, and the entire team — thank you!
